The Big Opportunity Direct is a new service to help London’s Third Sector Organisations (TSOs) and their users to find information about and access opportunities around the 2012 Games and its legacy.
The Big Opportunity Direct provides information as to how London TSOs and their users can:
- Get involved in consultations about the Games and its legacy
- Access contract and sub contract opportunities linked to the Games and its legacy
- Access funding streams linked to the Games and its legacy
- Find out about opportunities around the Cultural Olympiad
- Find out about inspiring local people to get involved in sporting activity
- Find out about training and job programmes around the Games and its legacy
- Find out about pre-volunteering programmes

The Big Opportunity Direct is open
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10am-12noon and 2-4pm,
Wednesdays 11am-2pm and 4-6pm.
The Big Opportunity Direct is funded by the LDA (London Development Agency), and is run by Greater London Volunteering (GLV) on behalf of the LVSC (London Voluntary Service Council).
The Big Opportunity Direct is part of The Big Opportunity project, the Third Sector offer to support the delivery and legacy development of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Big Opportunity is “committed to harnessing the power of community collaboration to ensure the delivery of the most successful Games ever and shape lasting benefits for future generations”.
