The Big Opportunity's objectives:
Generate
We want Third Sector groups to contribute significantly and positively to the planning, delivery and legacy of 2012. We want to:
Generate relationships with the Olympic delivery agencies and the public and private sectors, championing good practice to deliver our shared objectives and achieve sustainability, community involvement and a lasting legacy.
Our goals are to:
- Generate accountable processes for decision-making, within a climate of ethical practice, in areas such as procurement, contracting and sponsorship, focusing on take-up of the Living Wage
- Generate a methodology for scrutiny to assist the Greater London Assembly and Parliament in seeking the sector’s views on how the Games will affect communities at a grassroots level
- Generate a base of evidence about the impact upon community and voluntary groups
