If you are interested in volunteering at the Olympic and Paralympic Games, or volunteering in London in the run-up to the Games; or if you need to recruit volunteers to help the aims of your organisation, then please use the sections below to help you.

Volunteer for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games

If you are interested in becoming an official London 2012 games time volunteer, register your interest now, and LOCOG (The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games) will get in touch with you soon. You can sign up for updates (by email, post, telephone) about London 2012 and volunteering before the launch of the volunteering programme in 2010.

Personal Best
The Personal Best programme is for people who aren’t in work or education, and who would like to get involved in volunteering in their community, which will improve their skills and chances of getting a job.

Personal Best includes an accredited training course that will lead to a Level 1 qualification, as well as advice and support as to how to get more education, training, employment or volunteering.

Everyone who completes the Personal Best programme is guaranteed an interview to become a London 2012 volunteer.

For further information about the Personal Best Programme, please email personalbest@lda.gov.uk.

2012 Volunteering Legacy
The 2012 Volunteering Legacy website aims to connect and equip volunteers, clubs, organisations, events organisers and London Volunteer Centres ahead of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Cultural Olympiad.
